Handing Over of Principal Charge

The formal handing over of the Principal Charge of Government Mamit College took place recently between:

• Outgoing Principal: Dr. M.S. Dawngliana Hnamte

• Incoming Principal: Mr. Vanramropuia Sailo

The handing-over ceremony was conducted in the presence of faculty members and administrative staff.
Dr. M.S. Dawngliana Hnamte, having served the college with dedication and leadership, officially transferred the responsibilities to Mr. Vanramropuia Sailo, who now assumes the role of Acting Principal.

Brief profile of Mr. Vanramropuia Sailo

Mr. Vanramropuia Sailo, Associate Professor in the Department of Mizo, has officially assumed the charge of Principal at Government Mamit College on 5 March 2025, following the resignation of the then Principal, Dr. M.S. Dawngliana Hnamte.

Mr. Vanramropuia Sailo joined Government Mamit College on 25 May 1993 as a faculty member in the Department of Mizo. Through years of dedicated academic service and leadership, he was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor in 2004.

He first held the position of Principal during the academic year 2018–2019, and has once again taken up the responsibility of leading the institution from March 2025. His extensive experience and longstanding association with the college make him well-suited to guide its continued growth and academic excellence.
